Co-owner and co-founder of bad architects group (bad architects ZT KG), Co-founder and Project partnership with bad-architects.network (17 members in Austria, France, Germany, Indonesia, Italy, Norway, Sweden, UK, US) / Co-founder of workshops.bad-architects.net, student workshops organized by bad-architects.network Appointed member of the board of aut. architektur und tirol. Paul Burgstaller, studied architecture at the University of Innsbruck. Prior finishing his studies and founding the office together with Ursula Faix he collaborated with offices like Behnisch & Partner, West8 and OMA Office for Metropolitan Architecture / Rem Koolhaas in Austria, Germany, and The Netherlands. He is giving lectures and guest critics at various universities, and is a permanent lecturer on urban design at the University for Business and Technology in Prishtina, Kosovo/a. In 2009 he co-initiated the open source research project diplomaprocessor.org. Alongside innovative architectural production, bad architects group is devoted to developing new tools for exploring the phenomena of the urban condition in the digital age and has exhibited and published several projects. Examples include projects like “DE-tro-IT”, a shrinking cities project, “The POWER of the UNESCO world heritage”, a project for the 3rd Architecture Biennale Rotterdam or ‚Operation Haparanda‘, a project for the 3rd Oslo Triennial in Norway.
